Lina Batani

Administration Medical Receptionist
Lina’s fun loving attitude comes from her two young children who keep her hands full when she is not at work. She is constantly running around – physically at home and mentally at work – and in a position such as hers the saying “a woman can do two things at once” is not just the truth – it’s a must.

Lina has many years’ experience working in health, and specifically women’s health, having worked in both Obstetrics and Gynaecological and Gastroenterological clinical settings.  In 2005, she joined the Department of Endo-Gynaecology at the Royal Hospital for Women where she worked alongside both Alana’s Director Professor Jason Abbott and Practice Manager Carolyn Woodhead.  Lina spent a number of years there extending her medical administration skills before joining the Alana team in 2010. Reunited with her former colleagues, Lina brings with her a vast and valuable set of skills and experience in customer service both in a public and private health setting.

Lina enjoys working in the close-knit team environment at Alana, and she has a sensitive and caring attitude towards patients and her co-workers.  Lina is energetic, determined to help you with any problem, concern or issue and even when she doesn’t feel like it, is smiling.  Her calm and professional nature under often stressful circumstances is greatly valued and very reassuring to patients.  She will be only too happy to assist you with all of your questions and queries regarding your care at Alana.
